Latest News
Well we arrived in Morzine very keen to see how things were coming along. We had seen some pictures but it is always easier to get a feel for it by actually being on site. As you can see from the pictures the outside is really coming on and now most of the cladding is on the building....

Trip to Morzine to see what is going on....
Well we decided that if the place is going to be ready for Christmas we had better get out to Morzine and see what was going on. We need to get thinking about furniture and other furnishings like curtains. We have decided to go out in mid June to speak to Herve and Jerome and also to Jerome's wife who is an interior designer who is going to help us with the furnishing.

Update for the Plans
After thinking for a while about the sauna room downstairs we decided that it was far more practical to have a utility/laundry room instead. The new plans that Herve came up with also allowed us to fit in a decent sized cupboard in the hall way to put our ski jackets in after a hard day on the slopes.

Update from Jerome
Even though this process seems to have been going on for ages (since ealry 2004!) w still have not signed the official papers! and as such have only paid a small deposit. The best thing about this is that we have benefited from the rising prices in the meantime.
Well today Jerome sent us an update on the latest progress asking all the buyers to get their money ready!

Views from late autumn 2
This really proved that it wasnt going to be a dark valley....cant wait to get out there and soak up these rays!

Herve said in his email
"Hello Chris.
As it is a great sunny day today, here are (at last) 4 photos from your salon, coering the global view you have!
Of corse, there are still rubbish (like a crain, and different concrete workers tools...) making the view not so nice... but you can still imagine!
Kind regards
hervé"

Views from the Appartment
We are starting to get excited about the whole project now that it has started. We asked Jerome to send us some pictures of the views we will eventually have.
You can see the slopes right from our appartment although they look a little different without the snow!

More Foundations
Clearly things are really starting to happen which is good news. We really want to be able to use the appartment for Christmas and New Year in 2006/7. For that to happen we need the place to be ready in the summer of 2006 for us to get out there and decorate and furnish the place.

First Pictures
Spoke to Jerome and asked for some pictures to be sent through of the site. Only early days but they have excavated the site and started to build a retaining wall as the site is on a steep slope

Having gone a little cold on the whole idea of buying a property in France after our experience with Chalet L'ele things had all settled down.
However I happened to be doing a little property surfing one weekenf and came across an some adverts for appartments in Morzine on the investors in property website.
